Job Description:

The Finance and Accounting Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the development and renovation accounting. You will work with the Home Office team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness to accounting records. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our team when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

Job Requirements:

  • Prepare bank reconciliations and post daily cash management entries.
  • Maintain digital filing system of bank statements and transaction backup.
  • Review bank service charges and interest income to limit cash burn.
  • Prepare weekly current cash balance reports and monthly cash forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly consolidation of financials for KPI Reporting.
  • Cash and Reserve Planning for Renovation Pipeline.
  • Quarterly Cash Reporting with operating results to assess distributable cash.
  • Completion of Balance Sheet adjustment and reconciliation including prepaid expense schedule and mortgage statement review.
  • Develop and deliver ad hoc reports to support data-driven decision making.
  • Review and preparation of monthly financial and job cost reporting.
  • Inspire coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
  • Consistently acknowledge and appreciate each team member’s contributions.
  • Comply with and help to enforce standard policies and procedures.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of VISION capabilities.
  • Work in the Chattanooga Home Office.

Necessary Skills:

  • Multi-property and development accounting experience a plus.
  • Have knowledge of accounting systems and procedures.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze and organize data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Must be organized, honest, and work well with others, and have an outgoing personality.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation available.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone, and personal meeting situations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (Most Monday thru Friday)
  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
  • Must be responsible for safety and security of our assets.
  • Able to report to all scheduled shifts.
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person.
  • Is organized, honest, and works well with others.
  • Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
